Windows 7
- Click START and open Control Panel.
- Then click on Network and Internet
- Click on Network and Sharing Center
- Click on Change adapter settings
- Depending on how your computer is connected to the Internet double click either Local Area Connection or Wireless Network Connection.
- Click properties
- Double click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
- In the General tab click on Use the following DNS server addresses.
- Preferred DNS [sign-up to get this number] and Alternate blank
- Make sure Validate settings upon exit is checked (if present)
- Click ok
- Windows Network Diagnostics will start and run for a little while , just let it run
- Once the diagnostics have run click on close
- Restart your computer
- Go to www.ipinfo.io and confirm your IP address is set to [sign-up to get this number]
Windows 8/8.1
- Click START and open Control Panel.

- First click the search bar and type Settings and click Settings from the search results
- Then click on Network and Internet
- Click on Network and Sharing Center
- Click on Advanced network settings (scroll down to see it)
- Depending on how your computer is connected to the Internet double click either Local Area Connection or Wi-Fi. More options will display
- Click view additional properties
- Under DNS server assignment click EDIT
- Change from Automatic (DHCP) to Manual
- Turn on the switch for IPv4
- Preferred DNS [sign-up to get this number] and Alternate DNS blank
- Click Save
- If you have any issues go back and set it back to Automatic (DHCP)
Mac OSX
- Open up System Preferences and find Network under Internet & Wireless
- Then select either Wi-Fi or Ethernet depending on the method you use to connect to the Internet.
- Once selected click the advanced button on the lower right hand side
- Then select DNS
- Click the small plus on the lower left hand side
- Use the following DNS server [sign-up to get this number]
- Secondary blank
- Click OK
- Then click Apply
- Restart your Mac
Chromebook
- Click on the clock icon in the corner of your screen
- Then select and click on Settings
- Select your network (Ethernet or Wi-Fi network)
- Click on the Custom name servers and enter [sign-up to get this number] and Server 2 as [sign-up to get this number]
Now click close and it will start using your new VIP DNS!
Note: Remember, if your IP address changes you must visit www.vipdnsclub.com/my-account to verify your new IP address at the click of a button (red bar up the top) and everything will work again.
